Storylines, an innovative residential community at sea, has expanded and established an office in Split, Croatia on-site at Brodosplit, the largest shipyard in the country, in preparation for the construction of MV Narrative, Storylines' inaugural private residence ship.
The office will be the permanent location for the ship’s construction and operations team until the vessel is delivered. Set to sail in 2027, Storylines’ MV Narrative ship will be 766 feet long and 98 feet wide with 530 fully furnished residences ranging in size from 237 to 1,970 square feet. The prices of the residences on the ship range from $1-$8M for the lifetime of the vessel.
Design and engineering work is underway, with the project being led by esteemed naval architect and marine engineer Dr. Paul Read of Gelen Marine. The companies have invited the future residents of the exclusive ship to visit the shipyard later this year.
By having an office on location, the construction supervision site team of Gelen Marine will have close collaboration with the yard to support and coordinate the interior and engineering design development for production, ensuring
- detailed implementation of shipbuilding standards and regulations
- exacting compliance of contractual technical specifications and expert assessment of how the specs align with chosen machinery and equipment
- adherence to all design and construction deadlines

In close collaboration with Gelen Marine, Storylines’ on-site operational team will,
- help develop the design from an operational perspective
- procure and take delivery of the initial provisioning items for the vessel
- set up operational procedures
- organize site attendance of officers and crew
